Girton Players is an amateur dramatics group, putting on one
or two productions a year, usually at the Glebe
School in Girton.
We also often enter the annual
Cambridge
Drama Festival, winning several prizes over the years,
including winning the Festival outright in 2001. Our 2006 entry reached the
final of the National Drama Festival Association’s one act playwriting competition.
You don't have to live in Girton to join - we
have members from Cambridge, the surrounding villages and as far afield as
Saffron Walden.
We
always welcome new members, both as actors or to help backstage. Enthusiasm
essential - Experience is NOT!
